The night away from the children went very well. So well, in fact, that I am still recuperating!
Quite a few beers were had, and I ain’t the spring chicken I used to be. I’m also not the drunkard I used to be, but I’m not complaining about that.
Let’s just say there wasn’t much sleep to be had.
Thanks to my baby sister, I don’t think the girls even noticed we were gone.
We arrived home to big hugs, and big smiles.
Oldest is scheduled to begin attending Montessori school next Wedensday. She’s very excited, as are we. I will end up spending quite a bit of time there, I think, as they trade parental labor for tuition. Should be interesting to see how that goes.
Folks, I’m sorry I haven’t been doing “real” writing lately, but my head just isn’t in that space. I do have a couple of things I want to write about, but it seems to be very hard to get into that groove these days.
Something will come soon….
I want to give a quick shout out to Daniel Jalkut of Red Sweater software. I use MarsEdit as my offline blogging app, and it is the best Mac app out there. Easy to use, easy to extend, and great support from Daniel. Please support your small developers!
Thanks for the nod! I am so glad you’re enjoying MarsEdit.
(Tiny nit: the first link to http://www.red-sweater.com is missing the hyphen).
Daniel,
Thanks for the heads up! Shows you what blogging with kids is like.
Glad you and PM had a great night out…you deserve it!
I am sure helping out at the school will be a great experience for you…and the kids, too. I’ve done my share of volunteering at lil moonspun’s school and it’s rewarding in a way that is hard to explain.
Well, we’ll find out soon. I have to pick up the contracts tommorrow morning, sign and return, so hopefully she’ll be in school on Weds!
Just to let you know that I really enjoy your site. Information for dads is really lacking on the net. I am really sick of seeing mommy blogs. I have a site that I just started in my attempts to help divorced dads.
